Ian spent 16 years with Sainsbury's in various food and non-food technical management positions, latterly managing technical and product development of the grocery and snacking areas, accounting for over £2b of sales, 10,000 products, and involving relationship management of 450 suppliers.
Ian has extensive experience of managing serious product incidents. He is a member of the Fairtrade Standards Committee, a former member of the DEFRA Pesticide Residue Committee and was involved in the inception and launch of Assured Produce and Global GAP.
